Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT DOES THE LOVE FUND DO?

The Love Fund of Wyckoff was established in 1999 to provide emergency financial assistance for the personal and practical needs of children and youth who reside in Wyckoff or have a parent who works in Wyckoff. By providing emergency assistance in a confidential manner The Love Fund of Wyckoff is able to ease some of the burdens related to family emergencies, thereby protecting children and youth from further hardship. Assistance includes medical, dental and developmental needs as well as practical needs such as food and clothing. Assistance for recommended summer camps and educational support is also available.

HOW DOES SOMEONE APPLY?

Application is made by either completing the “Contact Form” at the end of this web site or by contacting any Wyckoff clergy person, school principal or Fund Trustee. Applicants can also leave their name and number at 201-891-1782. A member of The Love Fund of Wyckoff’s Board of Trustees will return the call. All information is kept strictly confidential.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

A confidential conversation will be arranged with two members of The Love Fund of Wyckoff’s Board of Trustees. The applicant’s information about their child or youth is then considered in complete anonymity at the following Board of Trustees meeting where each inquiry is individually assessed. The Love Fund of Wyckoff’s Board of Trustees then confidentially distributes financial support in relation to the Funds current resources and the needs of the applicant’s child or youth. All payments are made directly to service providers.
